This standard document explains how group federation works in Lemmy and other projects. It can be useful to developers who want to implement a similar federation model.

Here’s hoping that the mastodon team actually pays attention to this when they start their group implemenation

Nice! Really glad that Announce is solidified as meaning more than just “retweet”… its now the official way that groups push activities to its members.

Thank you for your participation in the FEP process. I am really happy to see this finalized, and also that Fediverse Enhancement Proposals is picking up steam to bring more standardization to the Fediverse.

It’s for subreddits basically, not the same as Mastodon’s toot:PublicGroup type
