@OptimusPrime commenting from Mastodon! I am a member of a fairly small instance for “wiki-enthusiasts”. Right now I only have accounts on Mastodon and Lemmy instances. Maybe I’ll get back into publishing videos and make an account on a Peertube instance.
Fosstodon.org is great as well as techhub.social if you’re looking for good servers related to tech. I use fediscience.org as my server though, its more up my alley plus I can still access fosstodon and techhub.
Social network Friendica (venera.social instanc), Hubzilla (freehub.space instanc), Misskey (misskey.social instanc). And also, I have many accounts on various servers in Mastodon, PixellFeed and PeerTube. Moreover, some of these servers are no longer available at the moment. I have been interested in this topic for many years and have researched different servers. By the way, I also had accounts in the Diaspora social network on several servers.
Self run pleroma. Looking to test friendica but the host didn’t have the right setup. Mastodon social account for testing. Account on bookwyrn, account on pixelfed.social.
Yes although not fussed on misskey inspired customisations. Active development and performance improvements sound good but perhaps just a short dev cycle to push their prioritised improvements.
As far as I can tell they removed the buggy chat, improved performance, implemented compatibility features with Misskey and in general the development seems to be faster.
Pleroma itself seems largely abandoned with several forks going in various directions. Akkoma might be the best so far and is explicitly without the “free speech” ideological baggage that caused the rift in the Pleroma developers.
https://kbin.pub ;)
What’s your reason of using kbin when you’re already using Lemmy as Reddit alt?
Not really, this is my main account, szmer is my friend’s instance which I use to work on Lemmy integration.
@OptimusPrime @Ernest @XpeeN
I see that Lemmy compatibility of kbin is improving :)

Self run Ktistec, and Mastodon
Thanks for mentioning Ktistec, that looks like a neat one user Mastodon instance alternative.

Have you considered switching to Akkoma?
Yes although not fussed on misskey inspired customisations. Active development and performance improvements sound good but perhaps just a short dev cycle to push their prioritised improvements.
What’s the difference between them?

@_ed feel free to join us a libranet.de
@OptimusPrime kind.social for Mastodon, though I keep thinking of moving everything to Friendica here on libranet.de.
I also have a PeerTube account on tube.tchncs.de.
