Please join me in the Taproom any time now until Sep 24 but especially on Saturday Sep 23 as we celebrate all the amazing ciders and great people who have contributed to our incredible successes. I have three final Tent Show releases to share with you all (including Swan Song in the photo above), plus our two non-alc ciders will FINALLY be in cans for sale. Home deliveries are still happening on Fridays at least through the end of September. I started making cider as a hobby and a way to kill some time as a stay-at-home dad with my young kid. I opened Rev Nat’s in my basement in 2011, expanded into my garage in 2012, and opened at our first location off NE Broadway in 2013. We grew a LOT during the seven years in that building, and were able to play a huge role in the growth of cider in Portland, in the US and around the world. Please don’t be sad! We’ve had an incredible run and I met so many amazing people and shared so many wonderful experiences. It’s been the best job I’ve ever had. The last few years has been hard on us with COVID closures, changing consumer preferences, the sputtering of craft beer overall, and the decline of Portland as a worldwide tourism destination. But there is not a single reason why we are closing, just a combination of factors. I am sorry that our loyal customers won’t be able to enjoy these incredible ciders any more. Dang. 12 Bridge and now Rev Nat’s. No fun.
That’s a shame. I had one of their passion fruit ciders in San Diego and it was fantastic.
They just re-opened a tap room with a pretty great food cart pod attached. I went this weekend. It seemed busy, but I’d guess rent is a lot higher than their old spot.
