On all major highways at the state borders there is a sign that reads: “Oregon Thanks You”… for leaving.


This is the first time I’ve heard of “Diversifying Energy.” That alone raises a red flag.




The City of Portland used to have a contract with the Friends of Trees non-profit, which provided tree care as well as tree planting, but that contract was terminated several years ago.


It used to run on 62 all the time but yesterday I saw a regular “renewable diesel” bus for 62 at Washington Square Transit Center. I don’t know if this was a temporary thing due to maintenance.

“to Postal Customer” mailers can be sent to specific ZIP Codes so it may not have gone to, for example, 97239.


It may just be because Lotería is a game that primarily appeals to the Spanish-speaking population? And maybe the mailer was sent to ZIP codes with a high Latino presence? It’s just about doing a targeted outreach.

Here’s a booth at last week’s ¡Viva Tualatin! festival - since the event was geared toward the local Latino community everything is written in Spanish first.
