I think it’s also valid to ask people to participate here. The fediverse is what we make it; without people talking, opening up new communities etc., there won’t be the content for others to feel the buzz. Reddit can be a lean back affair, but the fediverse can’t yet IMHO.
I found the same when I moved to Mastodon from Twitter - it took me a while to find good people to follow on Mastodon and for new habits to form.
Amen! Electron is a scourge. Look at MicroSIP, a full SIP chat and call client done in MFC. Exe is 3 MB, uses less that 10 MB RAM. Runs super stable, super quick (native GUI) and light enough to always be on.
