Crossing my fingers that Ernest from Kbin doesn’t turn out to be a racist or something

The major issue I see with Lemmy communities and Kbin magazines, is that they both rely on a single server to be up and running to even work. Sure, you can cross-post to several communities at once, but that generates one different thread per community. Add to that the fact that to even start to implement a single distributed thread properly cross-posted to several communities, they must take into account that a given user or server may be defederated from one community but not another - should the user not receive the message if at least one server bans the user, or should the user be allowed to receive it if at least one server allows the user to receive it?

That’s precisely what I’m currently using on my server. I’m still not too happy about the original authors though.

I was considering to move away from Pleroma into Firefish, but it looks like both of them are problematic projects…

I expected the anti-Meta division to eventually demand recursive bans. The end result will be a hermit kingdom, and that’s fine and dandy, but expect the Fedipact users to keep talking solely among themselves. (And the users that disagree to move elsewhere, making the hermit kingdom to become even more of an echo chamber)

Still hoping to be able to send issues and push requests from my own home server into any other one without having to open yet another account. Git is supposed to be able to be used without needing local accounts everywhere, and issue trackers should have sorted this a LONG time ago.
