Currently I’m using:
Shotwell for library management. Digikam has more functionality but Shotwell integrates better with my GNOME desktop environment and I find it more pleasing to look at and use.
Rawtherapee for RAW processing.
GIMP.
For panoramas I use Hugin if I’m feeling patient and want to preserve 16 bit. Otherwise I use Xpano, which I’ve found quicker, simpler and more reliable, but only supports 8 bit export currently.
For publishing I use Pixelfed and a wordpress website.

I’ve heard it referred to as ‘customer culture’. It’s present everywhere but I first heard about it regarding modern attitudes towards relationships/dating. Most things in our lives have been so commodified that we assume we’re in a transaction with everyone over everything all the time. OP is benefitting from from is at stake here, which is gratitude, generosity and freedom. It’s a wonderful thing for us all to be part of.
