The aim of this community is to invite everyone to discuss around your photography. If you drop everything with one link, this become pointless. Portfolio posts will be deleted. You can however share your portfolio link in the comment section if another member wants to see more of your work.
Wow, love the mountains there! I use Flickr myself, but a trick I’ve been using to get Lemmy to display a thumbnail / direct photo link is:
-Open Flickr in desktop mode (force in your mobile browser settings if on your phone)
-Choose Share
-Choose BBCode tab
-Copy the link for ‘Original’ and then copy just the portion with the url for your image to paste into Lemmy
That is a pain in the butt (I can’t copy a portion of the address on my PC), but hey it’s working. Thank you very much for the advice
