What features are you looking for? If it’s just sending short messages and images person-to-person, matrix, xmpp and lots of other systems exist to do that.
@ktulu_333 xmpp? Matrix? Email?
XMPP? Especially if you are based in the US or Canada jmp.chat and cheogram might be what you want as they still also allow sending sms.
