[DEV HELP] OAuth not working with Sign-In thorugh mastodon
I am developing an Android Pixelfed client and I have a problem. When the user chooses to authenticate using Sign-in-through mastodon, the internal browser used for the login process is not closed and the "Do you want to authorize this app"-screen is never shown. The user would have to close the browser and click again on the login button to finish the oauth process. If they do that, the authorization screen still is not shown and it will be accepted automatically. If the user chooses to login with pixelfed credentials (just the normal login, no fancy mastodon stuff), everything works correctly.

Is it possible to get a link directly to an image?
i.e. just the image itself without any UI elements? Reason for the question is it would be ideal if Lemmy posts could link direct to an image rather than the site itself.

is it possible to run pixelfed on a domain that already runs mastodon?
I can install and run pixelfed on a subdomain, for example, pixelfed.example.com. However, I also run mastodon.example.com. My webfinger points at mastodon. How do I configure a webfinger for both pixelfed and mastodon? How do you all have your webfingers setup when you run multiple activitypub-based services? Edit: I should also add that I'm trying to tie my mastodon account to user@domain.tld, not specific to the mastodon subdomain, but specific to my user email identity. My mastodon domain would be sometime like mastodon.domain.com, which would normally make my user user@mastodon.domain.com. I do see this as a potential solution - I could route the specific service based on user agent to the correct webfinger: https://serverfault.com/questions/775463/nginx-redirect-based-on-user-agent#825725 So here is the issue on github: https://github.com/pixelfed/pixelfed/issues/3563 If folks have GitHub accounts, could you please bump this/thumbs up?

I created by first post in pixelfed and was flagged as spam
I create an account yesterday on a pixelfed instance to post new hip hop releases and was flagged as spam. It's been 24 and still no review. Why is that? Did anybody has the same problem and how long did it take for the post to be listed?

Is there a way to migrate from another platform?
So, I’m trying to make the switch from Pinterest to Pixelfed. However I’m curious if there’s a way to instant migrate all pins to Pixelfed. Yes, it is more than 10K pins. Bonus question: How to hide NSFW content on Pixelfed?

Questions
- How to rearrange photos in a collection? - Can I force a single column view of photos in a collection, instead of matrix view, by a url flag? - Why is the matrix in adding photos to a collection dialog ordered right to left whereas when viewing one it's left to right? - Can I upload a series of photos, more than one photo at a time, but have them uploaded individually instead of in a group? Can I use alphanumeric filenames to presort the order? These are serious questions.

More granular location?
Can I add more locations, for example I search and find Alum Creek, but I want to tag with Alum Creek State Park. How do I add more locations or a location that isn't found.

Best place to post memes?
I have a meme account on Instagram, which I'd like to also have on the Fediverse. Can anyone recommend me a Pixelfed instance for this? Or maybe another type of server?

followed tags on home feed
Hey all I'd really like to use pixelfed but I'm having an issue where I assumed that the followed hashtags would show up with posts on my home feed with those tags. However it does not seem to be the case. Is there a way for this to work that way? Thanks! edit: so it looks like the web has https://pixelfed.social/i/web/discover/my-hashtags but that only shows a rotating 3 followed hashtags. seems like a silly way to do that. it also does not appear to be accessible from the android app.

PixelFed feed sorting
New to pixelfed, is am using the android client. Overall it works very well but there is one basic thing I couldn't figure out, is there a way to have the feeds (network/public/home) sorted with some criteria, e.g. Show recent posts with more Likes at the top etc?

Are there any servers hosted in Canada yet?
I've downloaded the beta app for Android and would like to sign up, but it's r prefer to sign up on a Canadian server if possible. Otherwise what is a country that you trust to have a social media server hosted there? Switzerland?

Locations on posts usage?
In the pixelfed webapp you can tag a location (not an #) to your post. But I can't seem to find what it's then used for? I can't see it on the post, only if I press to edit the image and then go to the "other" tab.

Ansible playbook for installing pixelfed (docker)
geteilt von: https://kerala.party/post/34434 > I tried to install pixelfed on my server using the docker compose file from the pixelfed repository. The installation was not straightforward and there were many problems. So I created an ansible playbook to automate the installation. Hope this is helpful and let me know your feedback.

Editing Collections
Hey everyone For the life of me I can't figure out how to see a list of all my Collections on Pixelfed, and how to edit them. Does anyone know?

Are there any Pixelfed accounts that are NOT photography portfolios?
I'm looking for some people to follow on Pixelfed. I currently already follow a webcomic and a couple of photo blogs; but I'd like something else. Anyone got a personal accountɂ̦ or does anyone post videos?

Pixelfed API - anyone had any experience getting a json feed of content?
This would seem like a compelling option to replace instagram feeds in websites - [idotj](https://mastodon.online/@idotj) has created a great implementation for mastodon, but I cant see anything for pixelfed.
