back when it was an untitled sequel to breath of the wild, all we had was caves, short haired zelda, and a snippit of dehydrated ganon. CC BY-NC-ND
edit: good to know lemmy’s treatment of gifs is terrible. please look at the larger preview, haha.
secondary edit: not using lemmy’s built in gif uploader helps a into not making a video, but it doesn’t animate now. I can’t win. :/ see animated

I would play that. Actually was hoping that nintendo would put out their breath of the wild in original legend of zelda tech demo they did before making botw.
Yeah!! That would have been super great as a little thing to release, but I guess it may have been super rough around the edges. Would still be nice just as a gamedev learning experience.
Yeah I doubt they will ever let it out. I would still love any kind of 2d pixel art zelda game though. Bonus points if it continues the ethos of link between worlds, botw and totk of letting you approach the game however you like.
mlem doesn’t even show an image preview for this. does anyone know how other apps treat it? it makes me sad that simple animations would be so shafted.
